Technology Development, Validation and Commercialization (TDVC) Program (Phase 1 and Phase 2)

Taking initiatives of the Government of India flagship programs like Start-up India /Stand-up India, Atma Nirbhar Bharat, etc. NRDC has taken a step forward to encourage start-ups / MSMEs / Incubatees to scale up and value addition of their technologies from TRL 2 to TRL 4 to commercial level higher TRL 6 to TRL 8 under Technology Development, Validation and Commercialization (TDVC) Program (Phase 1 and Phase 2).

The goal of this program is to facilitate manufacturing industries to move up the value chain from the proof of concept stage to commercialization stage.

The Main Objective the Program:

The broad objective of the program is to promote development and validation of new and novel innovations emanating from both public and private industrial R&D sectors across the country and enable their early commercial exploitation. This program aims to:

  1. To encourage start-ups / MSMEs / Incubatees to bring their technologies to commercial level.
  2. To strengthening R&D in start-ups / MSMEs / Incubatees by way of encouraging entrepreneurs to undertake development and commercialization of new technologies / products or new uses of existing products.
  3. To support maturation of the technologies which are between TRL 2 and 4 to TRL 6 to 8.

Under this TDVC Program the Corporation is funding TDVC Phase 1 up to Rs.1.00 crore and for Phase 2 Rs.1.00 crore against equity shares to NRDC.

Outcome Envisaged from TDVC Project:

This scheme can boost the research and innovation among the young innovators / entrepreneurs who are eager to achieve success in creating enterprises. The success of enterprises would contribute to the revitalization of the national and regional economies. These entrepreneurs would play a critical role in innovation through development and introduction of new products and processes, which in turn would create more jobs, employment and wealth. As a result, lives of people can improve through affordable products and services that lead to development of the country and be self-reliant India (AtmanirbharBharat).
