Brief About Innovation
Jeevan Sudha is a botanical formulation developed by Central Tasar Research & Training Institute (CTR & TI) (Central Silk Board), Ranchi from the medicinal plants having antiviral properties for containment of virosis in Tasar Silkworm. The application of 1% aqueous extract of Jeevan Sudha during rearing protects the Tasar Silkworm from virosis. The laboratory results, large scale trials at farmer’s level in basic seed crop and Nucleus seed crops rearing results indicated an improvement of minimum 10-12 cocoons / dfl in cocoon yield.
