Title of the Innovation: COCOON HARVESTOR (MANUAL- PEDAL & MOTORIZED TYPES)
Brief About Innovation
Silkworm after attaining maturity starts making cocoons. The spinning worms have to be mounted on mountages and good quality cocoons can be obtained by mounting silkworm on rotary mountages. The harvest of cocoons from the frames having 156 cells each is laborious & time consuming. In order to reduce the labor & time, a pedal operated composite cocoon harvester has been developed. The harvester is having capacity to harvest 156 cocoons from the each frame at a time. The cocoon harvester can be operated manually, easy to operate and user-friendly and saves 75% labor compared to hand harvesting.

Fabrication workshop with facilities for metal cutting, welding, spray-painting, etc.
