Title of the Innovation: Method for automatic disinfection system of Railway track at railway station

Brief About Innovation

The railway track disinfection is labour intensive and involves a huge expenditure. These issues can be solved using the innovation ‘Method for automatic disinfection system of Railway track at railway station. The innovation works in such a way that when a train reaches the platform, the electronic sensors would detect its arrival. This would switch off the electrical supply of electromagnetic valve through automatic control panel and stop the foggers/mist and sprinklers from operating. On departure of the train from the station the electronic sensor at the end of the platform would get activated. This would trigger the system to start sprinkling and fogging again. Hence cleanliness and hygiene are maintained continuously with minimal labour.

Advantages:

• The system improves cleanliness and disinfects the rail track at railway stations and terminals by using disinfectant like scented phenyl or Sodium Hypochlorite for Corona virus.
• It reduces the manpower required by the railway authorities to clean rail tracks at railway stations and terminals.
• It reduces the consumption of water required to maintain hygienic conditions at railway station and terminals.
